Summer Love Charm Strap Thingies

A few months back I attended a local pottery class, first class ever!

I made up a bunch of little button pendants with an idea of somehow incorporating them into a jewelry project.

They sat on my studio workbench for a bit while I thought about how to use them, and finally inspiration hit.

I wanted to make a special gift for a customer, using the little buttons, something simple she could hang in a window or in her car, or near her daughter’s bed.

I also had a bunch of large rose quartz hearts I had purchased a few years ago to use as bracelet charms, but they turned out too big, so they never got used.

And I also have a jar of mismatched stones that are faulty or deformed and can’t be used in my regular orders.

SOOO, they all came together to make up these strap charms!

It took me about 1.5 hours to make them all up, maybe less (I was watching Game of Thrones at the same time, so it may have actually been less time to create…), and decided to host a Summer Love Giveaway on my FB page (also celebrating 1500 fans!).

My customer got one, and after the giveaway I plan to use the rest as free gifts for orders over $50.

I do love how these turned out, simple and down to earth, with a strong handmade vibe going on, but the rose quartz hearts give them a touch of charm and softness.
