Jo and Rita, I charge between $15 and $20, some are even $10 depending on what i use in them. It does not take me more than 5 minutes to make a pair of earrings once i have the idea in my head on what i want it to look like. My customers like the way they are packaged, presented, and i have my earring cards printed. 1000 are about $75 and every earring is on the card in a cel0ophane cover. I don’t just hang them on a display at shows. Making the earrings relaxes me. Some hoop earrings take longer but i think it all equals out in the end. My profit for my business is in the earrings not in bracelets or necklaces. Those take much more time to do and all the beads that are used in both of those eat up profit. Earrings, are basically pure profit at a $10-20 range. Look at my website and check out my pricing.

I’m with you and Rena, Kathy. I love making earrings and it is a passion for me. I do this as a hobby so I only take commissions. Earrings and ear cuffs are what I’m asked for the most. Jo, personally I think complexity and time is what determines my pricing. Try knocking off 5 to 7 dollars and see if they move. I don’t charge more then 20$ as a rule, but if I’ve spent more than an hour I’ll consider increasing the price.

These are pretty!I love to make earrings, but I am not selling many, I sell lots of rings, necklaces, bracelets. I think I am charging too much. 22 to 30 dollars. What would you ask for these? Mine are similar materials.Thank you!

An enticing new crop of earrings, Kathy! And I agree, earrings are my favorite jewelry to make and to wear. I especially like your coffee earrings with “coffee bean” beads – cute!
