“Shattered” Ring

I created this ring after my husband of three weeks died quite suddenly.

I used the reticulation process to refine the silver and then carved it with a torch. I parted it down the middle and created silver strips to “bandage” the crack.

I wear this ring quite often. It’s not “pretty” jewelry, so it isn’t for everyone.

However, I prefer a rustic look to my pieces.
