Hi Marnie, I have been to the winter Tucson show several times, but not the Sept show. Is there alot of the same vendors there as the winter show? Is the Holidome tents up? thanks Billie Jean

Some booths might be wholesale only, but I would say they are in the minority. http://www.colorsofthestone.com/winter.php Feb 1-8, 2020.
Many (most?) of the workshops are inside this year instead of in tents. If you are driving, park in the garage, and you don’t need to enter the show through the casino, thus avoiding smoking, etc.
No need for a wholesale license; very consumer-friendly. Though of course if you have one, many vendors will take those.
FYI The show in the fall is much smaller because it is rather new.

Address labels are a necessity as well as copies of your business license you can give to vendors rather than filling out their forms (although you sometimes have to do it anyway.) Take a rolling backpack or small rolling suitcase. It will save you! Don’t forget to pack water and snacks. And have fun! Take your time and enjoy!

The fall show is not nearly as intimidating as the winter show and lodging is easier to get too. Most of the shows for the fall are in the same area so if you look for a motel close to the Holiday Inn / Holidome on 4550 South Palo Verde Road you will be close to all the bead action! You might even be able to book a room there but it may be full since they have the G&LW show there.
I live in Tucson so I go to both the fall and winter shows. I have a lot of information on my site about the Tucson gem show at: marnieismymuse.com/t/ (its way too long to post it all here) I hope it will give you all the answers you need!

There are buses that take you to the different sites. When you register for the show, you will get a map of all the vendors and where they are.
Finding a hotel can be a challenge. Look around for a good price near the bus stops. The bus will stop at some hotels and other hotels will take you to the bus.
It is overwhelming. Go with a plan on what you are looking for. You might see something at one location, take the bus to another, and then wish you were back at the original one.

We attend the shows in the Winter, but they also offer them in the Fall.
Several of the venues will only let you in if you have a Tax ID from the state you live in, they are wholesale only. I assume you have a business with a business license? You can register on line. I am assuming this is the one you are attending: glwshows.com/ September 5-8 in Tucson? Hope this gives you the info. you need. Good luck, they are great shows! Nancy
