I recently moved to the coast of Maine and have had similar thoughts of how to appeal to the vacationers. One of them was to add local charms to a piece but I have had no luck finding quality charms. The ones on your bracelet are perfect! Moose, pine trees and pine cones (this is the pine cone state, after all!). I’d be grateful if you would share your resource so I can shop for some charms to add to my pieces. Thanks in advance and continued good luck with your sales.

I actually had a similar opportunity in a little shop in Gettysburg for a few years, but on a smaller scale set of a few earring designs. The owner would contact me and order a dozen pair of a couple of specific designs, to stock up for that tourist season, and purchase at about wholesale. She was happy and I made a nice little profit. I loved that it was outright purchase vs consignment. That alone made it well worth selling at wholesale price.

I grew up there and we have a summer place near Chestertown/ Warrensburg. Your pieces are gorgeous!

A place we know well! We used to live in Old Forge… I wonder if I’ve ever been to the place you sell at? Do email me and let me know. What a small world! And…we used to live in PA as well! Your bracelets are gorgeous. You definitely have the right idea for the Adirondack tourist crowd. I could hook you up with a couple shows up there as well, if you’re interested. Great work…thanks for sharing.

When I am sitting on the beach, I display some of my pieces, and sit there and bead. The beach gets crowded, so people come up to see what I’m doing and to see my pieces. I mostly make sea theme things. I sell alot of anklets (because everyone is in sandals), also Pearl jewelry is a big thing. I have only the use of one hand, so It takes me alot longer to make a piece. I think your pieces of jewelry are beautiful.

And I’m one of those people who tend to shop for a piece of jewelry as a memento of a vacation spot.
Thanks for sharing your idea and success in this venture.

Your charm bracelets are pretty, interesting, and very full. It’s refreshing to step out and do a different style than usual sometimes, isn’t it? Especially when it’s a “fun” style. Hope this summer goes just as well for you!
