SO many people forget about gifts for the guys in their lives. A lot of people will tell me, “Oh, he doesn’t like (or wear) jewellery,” but ask a few questions and turns out it’s often the case the guy can’t find anything he likes or that fits properly. On Saturday I restrung a bracelet for a guy who’d had it specially-made for him in Amsterdam — he was a really big guy then, but he’s since lost 50 pounds and it was practically falling off of him. Took me five minutes to restring — while they were waiting, his girlfriend chose a bracelet for herself AND is getting me to restring her other bracelets. They’re very happy and so am I.

Thanks, Barbara! I’ve had the same experience with guys looking longer when I have a good selection of jewelry for guys (or pieces that can be worn by both guys and gals). Also there are a lot of gals who want to purchase jewelry gifts for the guys in their life.

Jewellery for guys is a hugely under-served market. When guys know I have jewellery for them, they’re often looking longer than their girlfriends which is a nice turnabout! I’ve been using this style of clasp for years and similar styles and finishes of jump rings both as bracelets and necklaces. They’re guaranteed sellers. Also, when you need a smaller clasp for necklaces or bracelets, look for the swivel-style clasps, They look “tougher” and also are much easier for anyone with large fingers to do up.
