You could try oxidizing a wrapped stone in a ziploc bag with an egg that was boiled for 10 minutes and then broken up. The egg does not need to touch the wire. The process occurs because of the sulfur gas that is released. I do suggest you do this trial run before you use the process on your lovely jewelry. Your idea is so clever! I, too, would wear these pieces frequently 🙂

I like the contrast between the black jump rings and the bright copper, but I think it’ll look good when the copper darkens as well. The jewelry is somehow rustic yet elegant at the same time.
