Repurposed Ribbons

You know those pesky ribbons sometimes sewn inside your shoulders or across the back of your shirt? They aggravate me because they sometimes slip out showing! I cut a few off and put them on my bureau.

A few different colors accumulated over a few weeks. I didn’t want to throw them out because they are pretty and I loved the smoky grey and creamy beige just sitting there together. I figured out a way to use them.

I have some Hamilton gold plated chain sitting around so I braided 4 pieces of this ribbon through the chain. The pieces of ribbon aren’t long enough for the entire bracelet but I liked how it looks and am proud I was re purposing something.

I looked up the real use of these and got this answer on a web search;
“It’s to help keep them on the hanger better, especially the shirts that have wide necklines, or are made of a delicate fabric.”
I will be snipping those off my shirts and reusing them from now on!
