Since retiring I have started jewellery making.

Always looking for something new, I came across the air drying clay which others had turned into jewellery.

  • Margaret, it looks likes your clay shapes dried quite nicely. I like the double shapes for earrings, and the shimmering look on the hearts! Do you have any tips for air drying clay?

  • My experience has been that, if you leave the pieces near good light in fresh, dry air, they dry well. I leave mine by the window and for at least 24 hours, before making the pieces up into jewellery. But, as I said, it is an experiment at the moment. Thanks for your interest, Margaret

  • David says:

Flip them over so as to dry evenly.
