I also don’t care about hearts in earrings, necklaces, etc. This is an exception and I would feel pretty and chic in a vintage way. This piece can be worn with different looks. The purples and the light teal are a very nice combination.
Thanks for sharing!

The colors are exquisite. The design of the heart is sophisticated and certainly a conversation starter, not to mention the different bead shapes and textures. Did I say I love it? I do!

I used estended life liver of sulfer patina oxidation gel, and so far, it’s been a bit of a gamble on patina color. It depends on how warm or cool the solution is, the ratio of gel with water, and the heat or coolness of the silver. I tried to get the same colors on a piece with blue & violet dichroic glass, and the patina came out all copper & green, so I had to remove it. Another piece had a brilliant combination of copper and blue-violet, and another pure copper. It’s definitely more fun to experiment if I don’t have a pre-conceived notion of what colors “should” show up!

I’m not a big wearer-of-hearts but I do love this one, I think because it is asymmetrical in its appearance. The greens & purples are stunning too! Kudos!

I work in traditional silver smithing, & metal clay. Love your use of the purple tones with Patina. Would you be willing to share the method in which you use to get those beautiful colours. I am aware of using pencil crayons paints etc, but to use a patina would be grand. Thank you and keep up the good work. Anna
