It is true that sometimes things just work out the way they want to, not depending on my efforts at design 😉 Of course, making the original color combinations and sculpting them into a shape that will fit the human body is a challenge no matter the technique used to create the jewelry 😉 But you are right that the organic method is a lot of fun!

Sheila, I would recommend finding a good online professional tutor such as Cindy Lietz at beadsandbeading.com Her fees are very affordable and she videos all her tutorials, making the projects step by step. My style preference in polymer clay differs radically from Cindy’s, but she certainly taught me the basics. I could learn very quickly because I had been working in bronze art clay for a while before I became interested in making polymer clay jewelry. I wish you success in your polymer clay work.

How interesting that the Smoky Mountains would house parrots in their bird sanctuary. Maybe the parrots can tell stories about the tropics to the little finches and sparrows of North America 😉

Love the color combination. And yes, it also reminds me of parrots. A year ago I was in the Smoky Mountains and visited a bird sanctuary called Parrot Mountain. We saw a lot with those colors.
