They were actually a mistake but they were stunning. It was a packet of approx. 40 large agate stones, each one different size, shape and colour to the next. I kept one for myself and some family and friends, and sold a couple. I’m still looking to sell the last few…..
What are some UK jewellery suppliers?

Most of my necklaces start as a pendant

To drill holes in the glass try the Foredom drill or a Drill press (my preference) with a diamond twist 1.3mm drill bit. I get these at Rio Grande, but I think the trick is the diamond bit. I have been told they come really cheap on e bay — from china Just be sure the bit is diamond. Also never drill glass without water. put it in a small dish with water or just add water as you go along.

Josan, I usually purchase pre-drilled pendants. The tool you use to create the hole would depend on the material the pendant is made from – but a Dremel tool would work for many jewelry-type items.

If you’re going to do your own drilling, be sure to work in a well ventilated area (outdoors if possible, with the breeze at your back), and wear respiratory protection so you don’t inhale potentially harmful dust.

Find as the best tool to drill? A regular electric drill or do you use a Dremmel tool?

A little tip for searching good deals on pendants (and other supplies!) on Etsy is to use the term ‘destash’ in your search – ie, ‘destash pendants’. Lots of folks – including me! – list supplies they are no longer using or have too many of, at cost or below.

One I wire wrapped with some beads and another I used the button just the way it was.

Thanks for asking. The photo with all the pendants hanging on the black board is actually a stock photo I purchased for this post, because it perfectly illustrated what I wanted to show there!

I know that Fire Mountain often has finished pendants of various types – and in addition to doing a search for “pendants” on their site, check their sale / bargain sections.

Other sources might be Thunderbird Supply, Indian Jewelers’ Supply, Monsterslayer, Accents Beads, Rings & Things, Land of Odds.

You might try phoning the above suppliers, and if they don’t carry the kind of pendants you’re looking for, ask them where they think you could find such pendants. Suppliers often know where you can get the things they don’t carry.

You might also check on Etsy, and choose Supplies-Commercial to search through.

I hope this helps, Pam – let us know how you do in finding the type of pendants you’re seeking! 🙂

Most, if not all of my necklaces are pendant necklaces and I am trying to expand so that I can do some craft shows this fall.
