I made some cake stands myself using a crystal candle holder and glued it to the bottom of a beautiful plate. You can even stack another one on top with a smaller plate and another candle holder. I bought everything at the dollar store, and it looked great! I also used E6000 glue. I just never thought of using it to hang earrings from!
