PayPal for Jewelry Artists: A Good Idea?

I’m wondering if anyone has had problems with PayPal? I was going to sign up for it this afternoon, not really thinking much about it because it is used so commonly these days. When I got near the end and started reading this huge document about their fees, ability to limit your acct., etc. I decided to check for reviews of their company first.

I Googled reviews, and found tons of horrendous stories about people’s experiences with them – their customer service, freezing and holding onto their money, and all kinds of things.

Has anyone experienced anything like that, or how has your experience been with them? There have been posts here encouraging the use of Paypal in the past, but what about recent experiences?
