Paper Bead Jewelry – Eco-Friendly AND FUN!

My entry into paper bead making came last year while visiting our daughter and son-in-law in upstate NY.

We visited a nearby craft show and found a crafter who was making absolutely beautiful jewelry out of paper.

I then began my research (via YouTube and other locations) on how to make paper beads.

In my usual manner, I then became quite prolific making beads out of magazine pages, calendar pictures, gift wrap, scrap book paper, etc.

Now I had to actually make something out of these beads!

It is quite time consuming since you have to cut the paper strips, roll the strips individually, then glaze (seal) the beads 3 times with a clear water resistant sealant.

THEN you can make the jewelry piece.

It’s a labor of love, but I have fun!

I plan on introducing my paper bead jewelry to my craft show lineup starting this weekend!
