I have to agree Mary, YES, you can! And might I add that not only can you do it, you did it very well.
I have to admit I have never heard of an orphan chain and I’m assuming that you used a lot of beads that were alone in their uniqueness, is that correct? I was once told the only dumb question is the one you never asked, and so I did! lol. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next and thank you for sharing.

I love the wrap look with all the different beads and such a cool pendant. I’m always trying new things. I’ve been making pendants with cardboard, my own photography, and a modpodge product that is like a resin. The pieces look like tiles. At the moment I have no idea how I’m going to hang them. Possible various chain but I love the random orphan beads too!

I love your pendant, Mary! And the orphan chain is so much fun. But back to the soldered pendant. I just went through a steep learning curve myself on using resin to make pendants, so I can definitely relate. But if this pendant is any indication, you are definitely headed in the right direction for adding new dimension to your jewelry. Remember, ‘mistakes’ are an essential part of any creative learning process. Don’t give up!

The way you put these beads together to create the orphan chain makes a lovely necklace. It’s perfect to wear on its own, and I bet it also goes with a nice variety of pendants. I also like how you show it wrapped around the neck, with your wire clasp in the front. Great work on the chain and the pendant, Mary!
