I have never seen work like yours and have always admired it. With you in mind, I recently bought some coins in New Zealand with kiwis and Maori symbols on them. Not sure what to do with them and it sure won’t be as great as yours. Just wanted you to know you’re an inspiration from a far and you may not have known that!

This is so cool. Were the birds and sun already on it and you then painted it? This looks great! Thanks for sharing.

I love the watery, tropical colors for the flamingo-theme coin – and the kumihimo strand really gives the finished piece a “presence”.

I love how you combined old (the coin) with really old (the kumihimo technique) to make a colorful new necklace in a fresh style.

(It feels odd to say the coin is old, when it’s younger than I am! LOL)

Thanks so much for sharing this piece with us! 🙂
