In a small town we drive through to visit some friends who live up in the mountains, there is a restaurant whose name — I am not making this up — is the Road Kill Cafe. That name is such a turn-off I wouldn’t stop there if they were the only restaurant on the planet! UGH!!!!

I once passed a gas station that had a convenience store. They had a sign out front that read “Eat here and get gas”. Talk about bad advertising!

I live near a small seaside town in South Africa. Taxis are the main form of transport in our country so every town a has a designated area for taxis, known as a Taxi Rank. Invariable there is a take-away shop close by. The name of the take-away shop in this town? Rank Takeaways.
