I personally do not care for the fussy over-wrapped and spiralled pieces so love the free form wrapping you do. I started with my found sea glass and discovered it’s so easy to do. I also discovered you need to let the wire tell you where it wants to go on the piece (it rarely ends up going where I thought to put it). I use artistic colored copper wire and find it is very easy to use and wrap with. I went crazy and wrapped a lot of items recently and now teach it at my beginning jewelry classes. I find it freeing not to have to do all those tiny wraps on the bottom, sides and top (although I can now do those) and love just curling the end wire in tendrils rather than spirals.

Thank you.

I love how the ocean (or huge lakes, like the one I live near..Lake Ontario) can smooth out a once sharp object and make it a piece of art in itself. How exciting it must be to be able to travel the world (especially the Antarctica trip) to pick up your “supplies”! Unfortunately, when you live in “Podunk” (haha), opportunities don’t come along like that. I would love to know your tips on drilling…that info would be invaluable to me, so if you can, email me!

Again, fabulous and gorgeous work…
