also, don’t forget the verbal part – good, regular, positive, respectful communication with the shop owner is essential to making consignment work for both of you. I love my consignment gift shop “A Few of Your Favorite Things” in High Prairie Alberta!

If they don’t, I think the norm is 30% to 40%. Make sure your contract covers theft…who’s responsible (hopefully them) and a payment schedule. I try to make sure my inventory is changed out on a regular basis too. Good luck!
