Angelic Necklace

I have been out of the jewelry business for years. There are a few stores in my are I would like to approach about placing my jewelry on consignment. I currently have my items in a hair salon – at no charge, and on ETSY.

Any info would be helpful as I would like to present my jewelry in a ” top down” way. 70-30, 60-40 ect.

Also need help with contract.
I am so glad I found this site!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Any and all welcome!

Consignment shops usually have their percentage in place as well as a contract. If they don’t, I think the norm is 30% to 40%. Make sure your contract covers theft…who’s responsible (hopefully them) and a payment schedule. I try to make sure my inventory is changed out on a regular basis too. Good luck!

Rena has previous posts on consignment contracts, I used them to make sure I was happy with the consignment contract the store gave me. do have a contract, it makes life so much easier than verbal agreements.
also, don’t forget the verbal part – good, regular, positive, respectful communication with the shop owner is essential to making consignment work for both of you. I love my consignment gift shop “A Few of Your Favorite Things” in High Prairie Alberta!
