Also, might consider using wire from front of pendant bail to the ball end on the back of the pendant bail so the piece cannot fall off. Could also put some dangling beads on the same wire to embellish the cat pendant a little more, and could terminate the wire ends with scrolling spirals.

I would use bicone crystals on either side of the pendant. The cone ends would fill the large hole of the pendant and keep it from moving around too much or falling off. Then scatter the bicones throughout your design. You could also use a curved tube bead that the pendant would fit on but keep it from sliding off the wire.

This will limit the movement of the pendant but that can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what your looking for.

I suggest you use a fabric cord, make a tight knot on the curl and then a decorative bow to hide the knot. You can glue the knot to the bead if you think it is necessary. If you incorporated a small loop for a bail while making the bow, then you have the option of using what ever “chain” you like to wear with the pendant. This technique would also allow you to add some other artistic elements to compliment the glass bead.

It is fairly easy to learn and there is a way to incorporate the pendant into the cord.

Ciao

My thought is to use the thickest satin cord that that you can string the bail onto – even if you have to squeeze the cord a bit to fit it through the bail.

If the cord filled out the entire space inside the bail, it would be too wide for the gap in the bail to slip off the cord.

An added bonus is that glass and satin cord look lovely together! 🙂
