Happy to hear you are working with wire! It certainly does take some time and practice to get to know the wire, as my sore hands and finger will tell you.
Copper is definitely the right choice to start with as it is inexpensive and more malleable than the steel wire. I would encourage you to keep playing with it and see where it leads you. Best wishes on your journey!
Lynda

I saw your post of the red crystals and steel wire and tried them with copper wire and stone beads at home – definitely need to practice as mine look nothing at all like yours! Love the steel and silk contrast and the asymetry of the necklace.

I especially love the yin / yang feel of the sari silk / steel combination. And the blue elements are wonderful with the steel.

I also like the faceted red crystals in the steel wire nests – and I agree, they’d make a great pair of earrings!

Thanks for sharing these inspiring explorations in annealed steel with us!
