I have used vintage buttons in my jewelry for a while now. Lay them all out and let your imagination swim. I made a bracelet with buttons on stretchy cord, cord through the shank, tie a knot pile them on and tie a closing knot…a neat stretchy bracelet with mom’s old buttons.

I organized it many years ago. There are some wonderful buttons in there. I have used some, but always make sure to take the buttons off when I get rid of the garment. I’m 62!, so some of the buttons are about 100 years old.
