Mokume Gane: Turquoise Waves Necklace

by Lorraine Vogel.
(Delray Beach, Florida, USA)

I created this pendant from polymer clay using the mokume gane technique — layers of clay are stamped, then shaved, revealing a pattern. I then reached for my (extensive!) bead stash of turquoise-colored beads.

It’s amazing what can be done with polymer clay. I love how this pendant turned out!

The flat beads look like turquoise, but are actually magnesite. I like the contrast of the curved pendant, wavy lines and rectangle beads.
