Mohs Mineral Hardness: What Do You Suggest?

by Kristen Mesker.

Where on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness do you consider a stone hard enough to be used in making bracelets?

I have some lovely fancy jasper coins (moh’s 6 1/2 – 7) that I would like to use in a bracelet. They are drilled to overlap.

Will they be more likely to chip than rounds?
