Copper wire is wonderful to work with. It’s so malleable and looks great with or without a patina. Perhaps I will do a tutorial on this bracelet in the future. I don’t have the time right now. I just finished a tutorial for Wirework Magazine (necklace) and I’m getting ready to move. I’m tired already!

I have been selling copper cuffs and copper chain bracelets for arthritis to my customers. You have given me an inspiration to do some of my copper bracelets with copper wire instead of sterling silver or 14K gold-filled wire. Thank you fr the inspiration.

Although some of my designs are rather girly, my biggest sellers are the simple ones. I like wearing these as well. And your are right, Felicia. In general men prefer simple, unfussy, subdued and even rustic pieces. I don’t work with wire heavier than 14ga right now but your pieces must look great!

Making sure my 18 inch chains have extensions so they may fit a mans neck. Men like simple unique pieces in subdued color schemes. This limited pallet is actually very inspiring. I make a very simple copper bangle, thick 6-8 gauge wire with a bead drawn on either end with my torch, I leave all the patina and don’t polish it, men and women alike adore them. And don’t worry about replicating a design over and over again, if it sells, make it. Because it’s made by hand each piece will always be one of a kind! Love all your wire jewelry 🙂

I’ve actually had a few women like them as well. In fact, I made one in sterling for my daughter. She wears it all the time.
Now I try to keep one in my shop at all times so everyone can see the basic information about sizing and price.

They feel like they represent strength and health. Also neat that these pieces are finding their way around the world! 🙂
