Macramé My Arm, Please!

I remember learning macramé from my sister back in the 70’s when it was enjoying a resurgence of popularity.

Variety of macrame bracelets
With simple hemp cord and wooden beads, I made a huge wall hanging for my neighbor, several plant hangers for my bay window, and a micro macramé band for my watch.

Square knot jewels
Fast forward to the summer of 2014…my mind went on vacation from my normal jewelry making routine. I wanted to play and just create simple, peaceful, loving bracelets I could stack on my arm.
No, I was never a hippie (smile), but I love macramé designs. Now there are so many cords and beads to chose from that the possibilities are endless.

Sometimes I only wear one and sometimes more. It depends on my mood. I love how my jewelry speaks for me without words.
