I don’t work with metal, but I can see how much skill has gone into it.

I, too, sketch out designs and sometimes just go for it. Depends on what I’m trying to achieve. Love your work. Thank you for sharing.

Now you end up with not one but two pieces of art…….your water color sketch ( which seems worthy of framing!) as well as your jewelry piece. Brava!

Well done! I am just a dabbling hobbyist & have never really thought about drawing the design. Thanks for sharing!

I have several stones drilled and undrilled. Usually I sketch (only with pencil) several designs, but sometimes just go with the flow if it’s wire wrapping. I try that out in a cheaper plated 0.8ml first though to see how it grows.

I have been sketching my ideas for a few years now. I wish I had started a long time ago! Sometimes I start sketching an idea and I keep adding something here and there or take something out. If I don’t like the things that I try I just erase it out. I wait until I’m Pretty satisfied with the design and then I used good quality pencils/pens to choose my main palette. I can also add alternate colorways at the bottom of the page. My designs are so much ‘meatier’ now..lol

Thanks Rena! Every time they come out with a new gadget for sketching or painting I seem to be drawn to it. Lol

And I know what you mean about the excitement of new sketching materials! I love seeing your sketch next to the finished piece.
