I put the pickle in the glass pot, Worked a treat. But the only problem I had with this is the burner plate rusted out. Now I use a mini crock pot.

Needs to be a dedicated container for pickle, never use it for food purposes. The pickle temperature should be 120-140°F (49-60°C) range…hot, not boiling.
