Importance of Branding through Packaging

I recently launched my jewelry website. Here are photos of the packaging I use.

I come from a marketing background and understand the importance of branding. A graphic designer friend of mine created the logo for me. I kept it simple and in black so all printing will be less expensive.

I bring color in with lavender tissue when packing for shipping. I use plain white boxes and apply a label with my logo on it. The jewelry goes in a lovely black organza draw string bag with my business business card/tag hanging from the draw string with all my contact information it it.

I used lavender on the inside of the card to tie in my website and the tissue I use for packaging. I enclose an invoice/packing slip on white 60# opaque paper printed in black that also has my logo and contact information on it along with a 5% discount on your next order.

It is all very simple but elegant and does not over shadow the jewelry. Half the fun of ordering jewelry is the anticipation of opening the package once it arrives. This should be as pleasant an experience as holding the piece of jewelry itself.
