Identifing Beads: What’s the Best Way to Do It?

When buying beads it does not say what they are. I’m new at beading and trying to describe beads on my website and it is hard to know what kind they are.

Is there any easy way to learn the type of beads or is it just with experience?

Also, what is the best – wire and what guage or the stretch magic for necklaces?

If I use the thicker stretch magic it is hard to knot nicely.
