I struggle with effective and welcoming displays for my own work — copper and brass earrings that are minimalist, primitive, ancient world-inspired, and one of a kind. I’m sure I’ll get it “right” for upcoming shows, but it is a surprising challenge for me. Thank you for your inspiration!

I was thinking of nesting crates to cut down on bulk, black cardboard foldable busts (is there such a thing? Make up some from cardboard and paint?), jewelry in crates, personal necessities? I’m handicapped and always looking for an easier way to do things.

Your display is so beautiful I must say your name twice. I have used alot of creative ways to display, but mostly on the flat table. But, Janeen this is the bomb diggity, translation really a great idea. I may have to copy this! 😉

Of course I don’t mind. I get them either at Micheal’s arts&craft store and or A.C. Moore. They come in different sizes and prices.

Good luck!

Could ask you one question, where did you purchase your wooden crates. I have looked over the internet to found a good price on them and to get that one size, I have not found anything close to yours. Hope you don’t mine if I ask you that question.
Thank you for your help.

Ahh Yes, Maxine! Great question! It can be a challenge, however, when I load the crates, per 3 crates, I can actually pack them in one another so it’s like one crate!

For instance, in the bottom photo in my booth display, I have 20 wooden crates in total. When I pack, I put one crate in a crate and put another crate on top. I also pack my bust in the crates as well and manage to somehow get everything organized and convenient….sorta lol.

It still is a lot but for me, presentation is just as important as my product. You get one chance to catch the attention of potential buyer and my display, if your looking for jewelry, works every time!

It is not overwhelming- simple yet elegant! When there is too much going on in a booth, it make me feel fatigued and I don’t often linger to look at everything.

Absolutely love this design, great job. I think it is so important not to forget that how we display, package and brand our jewelry is an integral part of the entire process- you nailed it!

I would definitely be stopping (probably several times) at your booth! Absolutely beautiful – It is so apparent that you are an artist!

Wondering about the difficulty in transporting all those crates since they don’t compact or fit into each other.

I try to be inventive in my approach when marketing my product, presentation and skill. Because my work is a representation of myself in some ways, it’s forever evolving to new concepts and ideas.

Rena, I’m appreciative and thankful for your feedback! I have purchased your videos on Crafty.com and bought your book on soldering! There is only two jewelry craft persons that I follow based on skill and you are one of them!
Thank you again!

I like how the crates look, and the way you’ve used them to display necklace busts. I love your “loud” displays, Janeen – they’re very striking! To me they feel both dramatic and natural, perfect for your jewelry, and very professional.
