She loved a three strand silver leaf jasper necklace I had made. ( I make most of my necklaces between 16 and 18 inches in length.) She tried the necklace on and did not like the length. However, she asked me if I could be an extender on so she could wear the necklace at any length she so chose. I happened to be showing at a art fair and was able to take the necklace home that evening, add a 6″ extender and bring it back to the show. She was extremely pleased with the result. It opened my eyes to possibilities. I can either add an extender which would allow customers to do the same or I could offer an extender if they don’t like the length. I did the same thing to the bracelet and she was very pleased with the result. Selling online is not easy because of the questions that do not necessarily get asked. At crafts shows it is so much easier to interact with your clients.

I sell handmade jewelry in addition to other kinds. I am trying to focus on finding artistic pieces of jewelry that the average consumer can afford. I am always in need of tips and hints to create or offer a better product or consumer experience. This site might be just the thing I need to becoming a successful store owner.
Thank you!
