Then find the best practices for those given media and apply them. This is not easy, nor is it quick, nor is it assured. I am still figuring it out myself, as an artist. Be sure that the venues you choose are compatible with your art and price points. That isn’t easy either! I’m on Facebook, Pinterest, and I have both a blog and a newsletter.

You will have to find what works for you. I also have Flicker as I use for my portfolio. Wanelo is another to look at.

I have my shop with shopify which is excellent. They have great support plus they have shopify academy. They actually have a lot of information for entrepreneurs. I believe shopify academy is free. Just register. It has been a life saver for me.

Instagram particularly is a great way to showcase work to a diverse audience. Facebook appeals to a bit older people (in their forties on up.) Any strong presence online, even flickr, wordpress, blogger, etc will direct and advance the flow of viewers to your work. Having a highly trafficked place to sell also helps. The more places your work is shown online, the better your viewership, and the better sales will be.

Of course all this continual product placement and social prominence online can take up valuable jewelry production time, so plan accordingly.
