Hi Denise, thanks for asking!
It depends on what you’re going to string onto that headpin. For example, for most freshwater pearls, I’d use a thinner wire such as 24 gauge for headpins. For general purposes, I’d use 20, 21, or 22 gauge for headpins. Depending on the project, I usually aim to use the sturdiest wire that will work with the components and the jewelry design.
