Sometimes when an artist decides to ask for “help” in executing or rendering their work, they leave the door open for having their ideas “stolen”.

If there is no possibility of teaching yourself the techniques needed in order to see your ideas to fruition, then perhaps you could find a jewelry artist in a community like etsy whose workmanship, style, and vision matches that of your own, and have them execute one or two examples for you. You will have to pay for their time, but at that point you may decide that you would rather be a patron of the arts, but you can relish in the knowledge that you participated by adding your own personal touches to the design.

Once you have the pieces that you want, you could then take those to a major department store. Getting recognition in anything – is all about marketing.

Preparing excellent photographs of the finished pieces , and posting them in a buyer’s arena is another way to attract attention. Although, speaking as someone who has been making her own jewelry now for over a decade, I have to say that it has not been an easy task or a profitable one. Jewelry is a luxury item whether it’s a gold bracelet or a pair of little beaded earrings. Consider the investment you will need to make and all that it entails, BEFORE you venture ahead.

Good Luck!!

He does business under Twisted Jeweler. Great work great reputation. I have seen some wonderful pieces he has and it’s amazing. I always go to him for any repairs I need or to make something truly unique. I have seen $30,000 engaugement rings, to amazing wire jewelry. That’s who I use and always reccomend. Best of luck!
