My site evolved from gallery to a functioning shop. I tried the bigger hosts, but it was far too complicated. I tend to be a wordy, detail-oriented person…so keeping writings “short” was not easy for me. Your tips are spot on.

I want to add my own “tip” if that’s all right. Don’t be afraid to play around and change things up. Our business -a and jewelry – are always evolving. That includes the website.

I currently have a portfolio type website on Weebly. I don’t sell on it but have it linked to my Artfire shop via the “shop” section on my navigation bar. I do get many emails for custom orders through my website and made sales that way. I may be leaving Artfire as I don’t care for their new look (which takes away all personalization) so this is someting to consider.

I am in the throws of looking at a shop, a new comer to the art of jewellery making. I am in the UK, have been offered a website, also thought of facebook as a taster. All of your great tips I will take on board and see how it goes, not quite ready, but hope to be up and running nearer the end of the year.

It is really daunting, especially if you read the “fineprint” about everything ( guess it is the banker in me 🙁 ) I HAVE to take the plunge and get set up, but don’t know which host to use. I have plenty of computer experience, but no website experience……… yikes!
Thanks for listening.
