I have tried using a card but still magnetizes to itself. Any ideas?

Ann, thanks for sharing your great idea for paper shopping bags pre-loaded with a postcard! That makes a lot of sense.

Wanted to add that when I do a show I use flat paper bags for jewelry items bought (jewelry already in organza bags). I preload the flat bags with a postcard with a photo of my jewelry on one side & a short bio on the other. Makes checkout fast & customers tell me they love giving the postcard with the gift so they know who made it & the art process used.

P.S.: Your work is spectacular! Gr8t luck to you….

After much thought on this topic, I have decided to pre-fill each large box (bracelet & necklace) with a card. This way, I will at least get the customer home with a professional looking product, and if I lose a few dollars in supply costs in the process, I think it is totally worth it.

Thanks again!

Tara

You can order boxes with that already in it on the internet, or maybe you can come up with something to put in the boxes you already have – like some type of fiberfil, even folded pieces of material or something. You could buy a remnant of velvet or some other material that matches the rest of your things.

The tag has the price on one side and an inventory number on the other. This gives me information to update my inventory after the show. I also have a business card holder with my cards in it to add to each package. It only takes minute to “clip and slip” when checking out my customers. I usually have enough time to do this while the credit card is processing.

I know things get crazy at a show and more streamlining is better, but this seems like the simplest solution, and one that probably wouldn’t get too terribly confusing.
