I use fishhook or box clasps that are relatively inexpensive but look nice. Then a selling point I make is that if they want a longer necklace they can connect the necklace and bracelet together. Because I use the nicer looking clasp it isn’t obvious that it’s connected if it clips around toward the front.

I never sell the earrings or bracelet out of a set, but if the customer doesn’t want the bracelet or earrings I will keep those and discount the price a bit. I can always sell the earrings or necklace separately, but can’t make a new pair of earrings or bracelet.

I always try to use up the last few beads of a strand after I have finished my set by making an extra pair or two of earrings and adding other beads to make a bracelet so that I have those extra bits to sell. (Also means I’m not storing just a few beads.)
