I also love the chain’s pretty simplicity with just the few translucent beads. It makes a special strand for the rings, but without overshadowing them.

As you have it right now with just the one jump ring and that very fine chain, the weight of the rings is very likely to pull the jump ring open enough for the chain to slip through. I would hate for you to lose such precious heirlooms!
