Fun, fun, fun! A different way to use up all of those odd scraps of metal, washers and nuts that have been hanging around and am excellent reason to go hardware shopping. (Like I need a reason.) Glad to know about the solder, too.

I have been playing with pipe and electrical copper too, I’ve found that the cheaper 4% silver lead free solder will spread out from under pieces like this,and when buffed add an even more curious “rustic” look. Plus it’s a lot cheaper than the good stuff, so you can feel free to play freely (or cheaply) with the look.
