Green Heart Earrings – Valentines to St. Patrick’s Day and Beyond

Green Leather Heart Earrings

I made these heart earrings with the rest of my Green Leather Collection, at the end when I just wanted to make something fun, a bit whimsical, and something that would appeal to a teens as well as adults.

I used re-purposed leather and a “potpourri mix” of bits of ivory lace, sequins and seed beads, with dangles made from vintage pearls. I made a couple of pairs that were embellished slightly differently.

More Green Leather Heart Earrings

It occurred to me recently that they’re perfect for this time of year. The heart shape and bits of ivory lace make them great for Valentine’s Day, and not so traditional as red and pink jewellery.

Those colours don’t work for everyone. But being green, they would be great to wear around St. Patrick’s Day as well. And of course they’re not limited to that period of time. They can be worn year round, but this would be a fun part of the year to wear them. 🙂
