If the hostess is really motivated to get free jewelry or really wants the “special item” that she can only earn if she gets 3 bookings she will help you out in getting the bookings even if it is only to say that she really wants the item. Some hostesses will even get the bookings for you!

I would also give a really great pair of earrings or something that the Hostess gets for free just for having the show….make a big deal about this during your show and say something like, “I want to thank my hostess (Name) for inviting me into her home to show you all my hand crafted jewelry and as a special thanks I would like to give her these wonderful ________ (fill in the blank adjectives) earrings!”

The other booking thing is that you have to ask every single guest at the show if they want to have a party when they place their order or before they leave the show if they didn’t place an order. The current hostess only gets the “special item” after the 3rd booking has taken place.

One of the main reasons that people don’t book is that they are busy and it is a lot of work to have a party. If you have a web site or Etsy shop you could offer “catalog parties” as well by using a special code for each hostess perhaps.
I hope this helps 😀 good luck! ~Marnie

Unfortunately jewellery IS one of those things that you CAN have enough of. I wouldn’t attempt another party with anyone in that group for at least a year.
You will need to seek out different people to host the party and ask for a booking AT the party when they are there appreciating your jewellery. You may have to return to the show scene to get party bookings.

I fear that this is not about your jewellery! Perhaps you might broaden your search for hostesses by putting a notice in your local grocery store or similar. Perhaps in the library, cafe and the bookstore. maybe also a leaflet drop to houses locally too.
