Inspired me to hunt down my “bits n’pieces” box and get creative! Any thoughts on what can be done with fine gold and silver chains that are broken? I have a collection of them (I’m just too stubborn to give them up!)
🙂

I also feel they need to be cleaned up, and wonder what you’d recommend for cleaning brass or copper. Thanks.

I like to use old chain too.
However, some I’ve used, the plate has worn off….what was once gold is now coppery.
Do you have a solution to this or should I just embrace the tarnish?
Thank you!
Jules

I LOVE re-purposing old jewelry pieces, and using old items that were never jewelry to make something wearable. At one of our local Goodwill stores, I bought a large florist’s vase cram-packed with old jewelry (for $15; not a bad price), some of it nice stuff and some just inexpensive costume jewelry, but most of it went into my stash for further consideration. I love taking old stuff apart, because while I’m doing that I find myself imagining what I can make with each component. Thank you for posting these beautiful examples of your work!

Your beautiful jewelry has an appealing vintage aura. Lovely to give life to old chains.
