Fun with Kumihimo

I took a class last year to learn how to do kumihimo, a Japanese form of braiding cords together.

I like to load the cords with beads.

Here’s one of my latest creations incorporating a gorgeous lampwork bead in the center.

The third photo shows a focal bead with just braided cord for the necklace.

Kumihimo is very addicting!
