Frilly Freshwater Pearls for Me

This is a pearl necklace for myself I made a few years ago, but it is a staple in my wardrobe.

It is a simple 2-strand design, but the interest is in the variety of shapes and sizes of the pearls. I got some “frilly” looking freshwater pearls, which I totally fell in love with.

They were interesting, and some were oddly shaped, but I loved the bohemian, natural look of them. I decided I had to have them for myself, so I combined them with some other freshwater pearls I had, and some tiny seed beads and pearls for more size interest.

I may still add another strand to it at some point. But I also find I can wear this necklace with one or more of my other strands of pearls, freshwater or vintage, or chain, and it looks great.

It has the mixture of elegance and bohemian that I love, and that is my personal style.
