Feuilles En Fête

Fall is not only my favorite season but also the season where my husband and I used to pick mushroom.

SCollin: Feuilles En Fête 1

This necklace and bracelet were inspired by the the autumnal undergrowth that invites us to stop and contemplate the wonderful transformation of nature.

I used different materials ranging from Green Impression Jasper, to mixed gemstone beads, Czech glass and Swarovski crystal to enlight materials like the autumnal sunshine through the the red foliage.

Then I added handmade lampwork beads, copper charms that represent what we find in the wet undergrowth when we go into the heart of the forest.

I wire-wrapped each of those beads with headpins then I strung them together with warm round copper beads and then added copper chain to give the necklace a wonderful earthy and rustic feel.

The earrings are made in autumnal colours, but also evoke the warm colours (spice, fruits…) of tropical markets.

SCollin: Feuilles En Fête 2

I used Vintage Trade beads, coconut shells, raw genuine Amber, Nepal Yak bone Mala beads and handmade lampwork headpins.
