I was surprised and delighted to see one of my designs pop up here in this issue. I think I might have posted it back in 2014. Unfortunately my shop has been on hiatus these past few years as I was attending to a sick family member out of state. I have not touched my tools in a long while.

If memory serves me, I bought the acorn charms from Fire Mountain. I have no idea if they are still available. One thing to note is that these charms are on the heavier side. When my components are heavy, I will use a earring post (versus a French hook), secured by a large earring back to help support the ear.

The earrings are simply beautiful, I like the colors u used and leaves, I made a pair too with autumn leaves! The colors on mine are brown and clear. Your friend will be delightfully surprised to get these! They look like they would hang nicely and go with many fall outfits. Good for You!

Hi Kristen, I’ve often found things like these acorn charms on Etsy.com. You can find nearly any type of jewelry component there. I hope this helps! 🙂

I’m with Dawn; (the comment above) I’ve been looking for acorn charms for 3 years & can’t find them. I have plenty of pine cones, though! Any suggestions on where I may find some? Thanks! 🙂

Not all my designs fall so quickly in place as this one did. I just started off with an idea for colors and did searches for beads in that scheme. Then as search results showed up, I started to see a design in my head. But I had to have the products in hand to see if the proportions balance one another, I always held my breath until then. This one fell neatly in place. More often than not, I have to return items or they stay for some future project.

Fall has always been my favorite season, and I’m drawn to leaf beads and charms. Keep doing what you’re doing! You have a good eye for color and texture combinations.

I like the combination of hoop and dangle, and the colors echo the season wonderfully. Your friend will love wearing these! 🙂
