I love using handmade components by other artisans in my creations. This piece was designed around a copper connector by Kathleen Hamilton.

I loved the ethnic look of the copper. I wanted to continue that look and added dangles of Czech glass beads, some copper spacers, and a handmade copper figure 8. The simple chain and a handmade clasp finishes the piece perfectly.

Wow! This is art jewelry at it’s best! Each element has a beautiful hand-wrought quality. It could be on display at a museum. I could see it on a runway model dressed in a cool African-inspired piece of clothing! Great job, Juanita ❤️
